Training for your dog...and YOU!
Homestay Training - Like boot camp...but better!
Your dog is one of only 6 students at a time. WIth 2 live-in trainers, that's
a LOT of personal attention!
Your dog will live with us at our home for 3 weeks and be trained in all obedience commands,
manners, and general good behavior. At the end of the 3 weeks, we'll do two private lessons with you, to ensure that you know how
to work with what your dog has learned, control problem behaviors, and be an effective pack leader. You'll get all the instruction
you need to be able to maintain your dog's training for life!
Homestay isn't a "last resort." It's a comprehensive
training program in which your dog is trained quickly and effectively by a professional so all you need to do is maintain. We
can better address behavioral problems and have a more thourough understanding of your dog's personality. It's also perfect
if you'll be traveling, are physically limited, or have a busy schedule and simply don't have the time or energy to train.
We
work with puppies, adults and senior dogs. We address housebreaking, stubborness, hyperactivity, aggression and anxiety.
Will
your dog listen to you? Absolutely! This is a two part program. First we'll train your dog, and then we'll train you how

- Complete obedience training.
- Training 7 days a week for 3 weeks.

Training Included:

- Hold each sit and down (including automatic ones) until released
- Break (release word)
- Place (go to a bed or blanket and stay there until released, up to 4 hours)
- Stop and wait at specified open doors or gates
- Respond to command first time given, without treats
- Respond to "No" or other corrective tone
- Crate training
- Housebreaking upon request, with instructions for continuation in the home (no additional fee!)
- Litter box training upon request, with instructions for continuation in the home (additional fee applies)
- Other commands or behaviors upon request and with trainer's approval (no additional fee!)

Real Life Applications:
- Control aggression, ease anxiety, and work with other difficult behavioral problems.
- Go for a walk without your dog pulling on the leash, marking everything, sniffing everything or barking at everything.
- Watch a movie, eat dinner or entertain guests with your dog quietly staying on a pillow or bed.
- Take a travel "place" with you to BBQs, family gatherings or the coffee shop.
- Have your dog do a sit-stay or down-stay while speaking with someone or waiting for the cross walk signal.

Behavior Management Lesson
A single lesson in your home that focuses on one or two problems. This may be a good option for you
if your dog is already trained in obedience and just has a minor issue or two. If your dog has not received obedience training, or
is not very good at it, we highly recommend either our Homestay Program or In-Home Private Lessons to give you all the training you
need to have a well-behaved dog in all situations. These lessons can be 1 hour, 1 1/2 hours or 2 hours in length.
Examples of Behavior Management Lessons:
- Housebreaking (1 hour)
- Aggression
- Introductions with dogs or people
- Dominance issues
- Walking on a leash
- Excessive barking
- A combination of a few behavioral problems

This course includes five one-hour lessons at your home. You will be taught new techniques and strategies
at each lesson and will need to practice with your dog daily to prepare for the next lesson. We will cover basic and intermediate
training skills, which are the essential foundation in establishing leadership and earning your dog's respect. Personalize this course
to address what you need most, or focus on the many commands already included.
Puppy Starter
A single 1 1/2 hour private lesson in your home that covers all of the essentials to get you started off right
with your new puppy. Designed for puppies under 4 months of age. Perfect for first-time owners!
