What makes CK9 different?
CK9's Homestay program is based at our home in beautiful Anaheim in north Orange County. We're near the 91 and 5 freeways, and a short distance to the 57 and 22. Making us easily accessible to all of Orange County, Los Angeles County and Riverside County.

We've specially set up our home to be able to offer our dogs in training a suitable environment in which they can train, play and relax. Our set up is comfortable and casual, and highly effective.

Our lovely models are Poppy and Clover of Lancaster, Homestay graduates.

Our House

Our home was specially chosen to accommodate our unique business and lifestyle. Even our location is ideal for our canine students. The first thing you'll see is our block wall and metal gates, which are always locked, as extra security to make sure all of our students are safe and sound.

The Play Yard

A private area of the yard is specifically devoted to your dog's fun and relaxation! There are lots of toys, a wading pool, and over 700 square feet of running space. It's the perfect size to get out some wiggles, yet small enough to maintain proper contact with us so that we can ensure safe play and socialization.

We know that safety is a primary concern of many of our clients. At any point there are at least 2 gates your dog must get through to reach the outside. In the play yard they are also secure with a 6' solid fence and constant supervision. CK9 ID collars with local contact information are also worn by the dogs at all times.

The Dog Runs

Each of our 3 runs are 36 square feet in size. Plenty large enough to comfortably accommodate even the largest breeds! Three runs in the Play Yard provide a safe and comfortable place for a few of our students to relax in between training sessions and play times. Each run has a large or extra large Dogloo, blankets, toys, water and plenty of shade.

The Dogs' Room:

A private room just for the dogs! The Dogs' Room is a fully finished enclosed patio right off of our living room. It gives the dogs plenty of space and us easy access. Complete with colorful paint and flowy curtains, we want you to know our goal is to make your dog feel at home. A radio plays talk stations or soft music 24 hours a day, drowning out ambient noise and helping your dog relax. One-of-a-kind paintings courtesy of our 7 year old niece!

Play Pens

Inside we have three play pens, each 16 square feet. This is where our smaller students stay in between play time and training sessions. Sometimes our big guys too, if they prefer! Like the runs, they have lots of blankets, toys and water here to keep them comfortable.

Dog Crates

Upon check-in, each dog is assigned a crate to call his own. So it smells just like him! Crates are loaded with blankets and toys and provide safe and comfortable sleeping accommodations. They are also used to aid in housebreaking, just like you would at home!

Why crates? Naturally den animals, dogs find security and comfort in a properly sized crate. If your dog is not used to being in a crate now, one of the many things he'll learn here with us is how to really enjoy one!
